Brad Kalajainen is the founding and lead pastor of Cornerstone UMC in Grand Rapids. MI. Cornerstone began as a church plant 26 years ago. Cornerstone is now a multisite church of three campuses with a projection of more in the next few years. Brad coaches, consults, and speaks on a variety of planting, leadership, growth, and multisite ministry related topics. Brad is married to Colleen, and has two grown children.

Why and how to change the world through social entrepreneurship

Rev. Brad Aycock and Dave Warner will lead our conversation.

Brad Aycock is the Director of New Church Development for the West Ohio Conference. He is a Missouri native, growing up in the Bootheel. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University (playing baseball there) with a degree in Biology. Brad started two businesses, later selling them to enter seminary and vocational ministry. He served at La Croix UMC in Cape Girardeau and First UMC in Sikeston before moving to Ohio in late 2015 to launch this newly created position. Brad is married with two boys.

Dave Warner is the pastor of Engage Newark Church and founding Director of Little Arrows Play Cafe in Newark, Ohio.  With as strong belief in relational discipleship, the team at Little Arrows has met and begun a journey with hundreds of families in the region.  Dave enjoys coaching, sports, music, vegetable gardening and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Innovative Mission: Why and how to innovate mission through Fresh Expressions of the Church

Luke Edwards will lead our conversation.

Edwards is the Pastor of King Street Church, a network of fresh expressions and the newest campus of Boone United Methodist Church in Boone, NC. King Street Church currently has fresh expressions meeting in bars, coffee shops, the local homeless shelter, and the county jail. Luke is also the Fresh Expressions Coordinator for the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church (WNCC). Luke is a Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church and a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. His life and ministry are dedicated to folks on the margins who have been excluded from the church. He enjoys writing about his wild little church, fresh expressions, and the future of the American Church.
